During early years in 19th Century a French General, son of the first Napoleon's wife, bought a consistent amount of land, with beautiful sight on Brianza lakes. There he build an estate to look after his horses.
This manor became an hotel, frequented by many tourists coming from the region, after a long lasting abandonment.
The sourroundig area got importance during the Fascism, becoming an alpine village for leasure, reserved to joung fascists on holiday. During the Thirties, the village included 18 barracks, big pavilions for catering and services, headquarters, guard corps and a church. Towards the end of the WWII it was an SS headquarters, bombed and destroyed during 1945.
Today it's heavily damaged, but it could receive soon the necessary intervention by the property, to maintain its historical importance.
